Back to school

September has gotten off to a quick start and both Sierra and Peyton have started school.
Sierra started grade 1 and Peyton started preschool. They were both very excited to go to school.

Sierra came home on the first day with a birthday invitation already. She made a new friend named Emi and all the girls in the class were invited to a back to school Beiber birthday bash. She said they had lots of fun playing Justin Beiber themes games.

Peyton did great her first day. Most of the kids there already knew her because Sierra was friends with a lot of them. So they took her under their wings and Peyton didn't even cry. In fact, she hasn't cried once. Sierra cried for the first 2 and a half weeks when we dropped her of for preschool.

It's great having both older kids in school. Sierra is all day and Peyton goes in the afternoon. It's nice because in the afternoon Callie naps, so I have time to study.

During the long weekend, Kyle went hiking with a couple of other guys. I'm not really sure where they went, out past the Dutch Creek area. They went for 2 nights and the girls and I got to spend time together.

My sister in law and I started a learn to run course at runner's soul. So far we've done 1 class, we ran 1 minute and walked 3, ran 1 , walk 3, etc. Our run is 5km. Apparently by the end of the 8 weeks we are supposed to be able to run 18minutes and walk 30 sec. It sounds very intimidating and I'd be surprised if I could even run for 10 minutes. Janessa and I have gone one 2 more runs during the week and I went on one by myself.

Sierra started a couple of new lessons this week. She started ballet on Tuesday and piano on Thursday. She said she had a lot of fun in ballet and she even knows a few of the other girls. At piano, the teacher was surprised at how long her attention span was. She said that they covered a lot more than she would have expected for Sierra's first day and for her age.
